What to Know about Madison

Madison, AL used to be considered a small city, but that all changed when the Redstone Arsenal was created, transforming the Madison County-based town into a bustling mecca. Now, it's the second largest city north of the Tennessee River and remains one of the fastest growing cities in the state.

There are a lot of fun and trendy attractions to try in Madison. If you're into fitness, definitely check out the Rainbow Mountain Trails. For those looking for an easy walk, stick to the upper area. For hardcore hiking enthusiasts, downhill is the path for you. It is here that intrepid hikers descend a stony stairway nearly 350 ft. down the mountain. Either way you go, you're going to marvel at the breathtaking natural scenery.

If you're not exhausted after all that walking, head on down to the Insanity Skate Park for tons of indoor fun. Whether you're looking to play some arcade games, skate around at super speeds, or get your rock wall climb on, there is so much to do in this super-fun hangout spot.
