Choosing Your Perfect Tree
Picking the right tree is a big decision! Personally, I like to go with easy and lasting for my family, especially with the hustle and bustle this holiday season is already bringing! Old Time Pottery’s 7’ Quick Set Pre-Lit Winthrop was the best decision I have made with my Christmas decorations. It is the easiest tree ever. Not only was it pre-lit, but I didn’t even have to insert separate branches or plug-in each piece to each other. Just set the next piece on there, and it’s lit! It was seriously four steps to assemble, then I fluffed the branches in under ten minutes! I love that the lights were evenly distributed, and it looks like the real thing without the hassle, mess, or price.
Garland, Ribbon and Florals
I love the look of berry stems, ribbons and garland in my tree! I personally like a tree with traditional Christmas colors in my home. Lots of green, red, gold and white to warm up the entire home. I mixed it up these year and added real pinecones, big poinsettias on the base of the tree (to make the base look bigger!), and a few tinsel and ribbon tucked in there to hide the middle of the tree. I also love the trend of vertical ribbon pieces towards the front of the tree right now!
Statement Ornament Pieces
OTP has four different themes for their unique statement ornaments this year. These include “Jolly Way,” “Nature’s Beauty,” “Winter Solstice,” and “Home for the Holidays.” ALL of which have great unique pieces, most being under $3. I love these options because they add varying size, shape and texture to my tree, besides the classic round glass ornaments. My favorite was “Nature’s Beauty” because it tied in my rustic, plaid theme. I also loved the detailed, handmade ornament options. I chose an egg-shape with pops of color for only $5.99.
Adding Personal Touches
Christmas is about tradition, so create traditions and add personal flairs to your tree. I found some unique pieces to add, and also a lettered ornament to be the focal point of my family’s tree this year.
Tree Skirt Options
It doesn’t have to be labeled “tree skirt” to work as one! I actually found great patterns that I loved in their selection of Christmas patchwork quilts and holiday themed bedding at a very affordable price. It matched what I was looking for to complete the look under my tree. We know you will style your Christmas tree perfectly with your loved ones this year.
