Are the temps tropical where you live? We are having a super hot and humid summer in Alabama!
I was really excited when Old Time Pottery asked me to create a tables cape for them. I’ve never styled a tropical one and it was fun!
I knew I wanted to decorate the table on our back patio for summer. Its a great spot for outdoor entertaining.
Tablescapes are a great way to express your creativity. I usually start browsing Pinterest for ideas then check out what they have in the store. Old Time Pottery had everything for this tropical table.
They had a great selection of monstera and palm stems that are perfect for this table. After I gathered my stems, I found this wonderful long bread board that I knew would make a great centerpiece.
The adorable wooden leaf server went perfectly too.
Candles are always a great idea for tablescapes, especially outside. These clear vase/candleholders had the same palm print on them as the stems! I also loved the caning on the other vases. It gave a cabana feel.
I brought in some color with this peach and brown tablecloth perfect for outdoors. I also loved the richer brownish color of these napkins. They really add depth.
I chose melamine dishware for outside dining and plastic drink ware to avoid breaking! The coral color of the cups goes great with everything.
For another layer, I added neutral woven placemats. I always love layers on a table scape. It gives your guests so much to look at and just feels warm.
So pretty at night!
For a little sparkle these small vases were great.
I really love how this one turned out. What do you think? Would you decorate with a tropical vibe for summer?
Be sure to check out Old Time Pottery for all of your table decorating needs! Big thank you to them for providing everything for this Tropical Tablescape!
XOXO,
Jo
