Greta Hollar is on the blog this week showing us how to get your outdoor area ready for the Fourth of July!
The weather has been so gorgeous this summer, we’ve been spending so much time on our front porch. While it’s nice, space can be a little cramped and the dogs get a little stir crazy. We have a spacious back patio in our backyard but until recently, we didn’t have anything back there but a grill. It’s hard to hang out and enjoy the summer when there’s nowhere to sit or hang out. So I decided to give the space a makeover but on a budget.
There’s a store in town called Old Time Pottery that I go to whenever I need any home decor. We’ve got kitchen supplies, plates, dishes, mirrors, and all the decor in my husband’s office from there. I hadn’t gotten any yard decor from there but with the 4th of July coming up, I decided to give your backyard an Americana makeover! See how space looks below.
BACKYARD AMERICANA DECOR WITH OLD TIME POTTERY
My budget for this space was $150. For that amount, I got the umbrella, pillows for the glider, plates, glasses, pitchers, tiki torches, and stars and stripes sign. I feel like that was pretty good!
I love how this space turned out and we’ve been hanging out back here non stop! It’s great because the dogs can run around and we can either make s’mores in the fire pit or enjoy a drink at the table under the umbrella.
Stay tuned, I plan on going back to Old Time Pottery in a few weeks to finish decorating my cloffice. I can’t wait to go see what I find for that space!
