Fall is in full swing which means it is time to start planning your Thanksgiving tablescape. Thankfully, Old Time Pottery makes it easy because they offer a great selection of decor options for you whether you will be serving a large family or having a more intimate gathering. In order to create the perfect tablescape for Thanksgiving, you will need a beautiful centerpiece with candles and the perfect plating arrangement.

CENTERPIECE

When planning my tablescape, I decided to start with the centerpiece. Because I am hosting a party of six and we will be at a smaller table, I do not want a large centerpiece that will be too overbearing. I found pumpkins that vary in shape and size and immediately knew they would be perfect. To add some color, I purchased a bag that had an assortment of pine cones, acorns, berries, and small pumpkins. I then placed them around the lager pumpkins to fill in space. I also added two candles on either side. Old time pottery has quite the selection of candles and holders. I chose the clear candle holders so that I can easily reuse them for other occasions and cream candlesticks to coordinate with my color scheme.

PLATING & NAPKINS

I chose to layer the plates. Even though my small gathering will be casual, doing this elevates the look and feel of the table. For my base plate, I used gold chargers. Because I have a marble table and used browns, creams, and tans in the centerpiece, I felt gold was the best option to pull everything together. On top of the charges are white dinner plates. You can find plain dinner plates and ones with designs at Old Time Pottery - really anything you need! Topping the plates with cream cloth napkins with a gold napkin ring was the finishing touch to my tablescape.
