Carissa from Bless This Nest Blog is here today to show you how to change up your dining area without breaking the bank!

Happy Friday friends! Today, I’m excited to show you some changes I made to my dining room thanks to one of my favorite stores, Old Time Pottery! My dining room actually gets a ton of use because it seconds as a craft room and office. My big hutch stores all the kid’s art supplies, so we love hanging in this bright room. When it’s not full of supplies, I love having a pretty dining room to look at. Since summer is almost here, I thought it was in need of a simple summer dining room refresh. My goal was to find some new pretty and comfy chairs to go around the table, a new rug, and a table centerpiece. I decided to head to OTP to look, and of course I found some pieces that I love!! I can’t wait to share with you how the refresh turned out!

Cane Dining Chairs

The first step was to find some new chairs for this space. Their selection of dining chairs was amazing! I loved so many that they had, but fell head over heels in love with these cane back dining chairs. They had a gorgeous whitewashed wood and the prettiest arched back. I also loved how comfy they were and the neutral fabric tied everything together.

I snatched four of these up and could’t wait to get them home to see how they looked in the new space!

Simple Summer Centerpiece

The next step to my dining room refresh was to find a simple summer table centerpiece. I love collecting pottery in this space, so I was looking for a white or cream vase that would fit in perfectly. Luckily, I found the prettiest concrete vase with a teardrop detail.

I added some simple greens and small pink flower from OTP to give it a simple summer look! Love how perfectly it matches my collection of ironstone! It looks like it was meant to be with them!

Vintage Inspired Dining Room Rug

The last step to my simple summer dining room makeover was to find a beautiful rug to tie all of my colors together. Let me just say Old Time Pottery’s rug selection is unlike anything I have ever seen. They had rows and rows of gorgeous rugs. I found the prettiest vintage inspired rug with all the colors that I was looking for and fell in love with the pattern!, Oh, and want to hear the best part? This beauty was only $60!! Can you believe that?? You can see another one of my favorite rugs that I got at Old Time Pottery HERE!

I loved pulling all of my new finds and blending them in with what I already had. This room is simple and fun and that’s why I love it!
