I can remember when we first found out we were pregnant. The emotions were high as we calculated our due dates and were in awe of God’s perfect timing. Easter babies. All Photos By: Lacey Irving
Easter is one of our favorite holidays to celebrate. Our family meets at church and then gathers afterward for lunch and Easter Egg Hunt festivities, and this year, we’re anticipating two sweet little babes joining in on the fun. As we near our due dates (Jenna – April 17 & Shannon – April 19), we want to make sure we’re prepared. We want our homes to be welcoming to family members who will be coming to help, and we want everything to be set and ready for our Easter celebration BEFORE welcoming these two babies into the world. So we turned to one of our favorite one-stop-shops to fulfill all of our hosting needs, and this year, we’ll be celebrating Easter with Old Time Pottery. Easter Inspiration:

Before heading to the store, we always like to start with some sort of inspiration. This helps speed up the shopping process and allows us to have set goals in mind when entering the store. This year, we wanted our tablescape to be soft and simple yet mix in some bold pieces with pops of color. While we love all things bunnies and Easter, we didn’t want our tablescape to scream “Easter bunny” since we knew we’d be setting it well in advance to prepare for our guests. A Spring tablescape with touches of Easter was the overall goal. easter inspiration mood board

Easter Tablescape – “The Essentials”

Table Linens

Neutrals are the best option when it comes to table linens because as you swap out your table decor, the linens will always match!

Stemware

We have to admit that when we came across the drinking glasses at Old Time Pottery, we let them drive the whole design. How did we get so lucky to find the same exact color glasses to match our overall inspiration?! To top off our excitement, the texture on the glasses reminded us of a basket weave and we just knew they were meant for us.

Dinnerware

We are huge advocates for white dinnerware. This set added the modern touches we wanted to include in the tablescape. We’re still obsessing over them.

Flatware

Matte silverware? Yes, please!

Centerpieces

One thing we love about Old Time Pottery is their floral section. While we are huge fans of fresh flowers, there’s something rewarding about being able to reuse flowers and greenery from party to party and throughout our home decor. More bang for your buck friends! Since we set the table well in advance, Old Time Pottery’s silk florals were the best option for our tablescape.

Easter Decor

We added in small touches of Easter Decor, and we love every piece we selected! From small white porcelain bunnies to DIY hand-painted Easter eggs, we knew simple touches would go a long way.

The Final Tablescape

How could you not want to keep this table setting up all Spring long?! As we check off our to-do’s and prepare for these Easter babies, we’re feeling so accomplished knowing our family will be greeted with this beautiful table setting and we have one less thing to think about! Done and done! Disclosure: Please note, this post was sponsored by Old Time Pottery, however the opinions stated in this post are our own.
