When it comes to shopping at Old Time Pottery, the possibilities are endless. I went in to find planters and came out with something completely different! But don’t worry, I’ll be back for the amazing modern bohemian planters I saw as soon as our new deck is done!
Y’all already know how much I love Old Time Pottery. From the baskets, planters, and seasonal decor, they always have exactly what I’m looking for! When shopping the other day, I spotted these wood letters and knew exactly what I was going to do.
We are currently in the process of renovating our back deck and completely gutting our backyard; from turf to a completely new deck with three layers. When I saw these wood letters, I gasped and grabbed an R for my last name and an N and R for my boy’s names.
With our backyard being completely renovated, I knew I wanted something special to use as decor. With my first wood R, I decided to make a faux succulent planter (I mean, I killed a cactus once, so I felt faux was probably best). I grabbed some floral foam from a few isles over, some succulent sticks, a hot glue gun, and some faux moss and went straight to work. It turned out SO amazing! I originally wanted it to go outside but it was the perfect statement piece for our dining room.
Since my boys’ birthdays are only 10 days apart, we always have their parties together.
I have personally spent so much money on renting marquee letters and numbers the past few years, but when I saw these a light came on in my head! DIY Marquee letters anyone? Check back to see the whole process! Also, grab these letters before other people find out our little secret!
