Today on the blog, Megan takes us along for her fall bedroom refresh.
It’s about that time of year that I start to CRAVE pumpkin spice, cooler weather, and all of the cozy vibes. I wanted to share some of my favorite tips and tricks to incorporating fall bedroom decor on a budget! I shopped all of these items at my local Old Time Pottery and kept my cost under $100!
Trick #1: Gimme all the texture!
Load up on pillows and throws! I chose to highlight a burnt orange color, partially because it’s my fav and because it’s a staple Autumn tone. I also love bringing in any pop of black that I can; black candle, black book, and black pillow helps tie everything in nicely. I also snagged this herringbone throw while at Old Time Pottery which helps to contrast the white quilt while adding another layer.
Trick #2: Staying Cool!
Because I live in Florida, we don’t truly get cooler weather during fall. With that being said, I like to keep a quilt on our bed as the top cover. This helps keep us cool and isn’t too bulky, yet still adds that extra cozy feel.
Trick #3: Adding Browns!
I feel like browns and tans are frequently seen fall colors, and I wanted to bring this color palette into our bedroom. I was able to do so using this wicker tray from Old Time Pottery which paired nicely with our handmade slat headboard. The wood in the buttons of the black pillow finish the look by pulling it all together.
Now that we’ve established the look of fall, all that’s left to do is bring out that unmistakable scent of fall. I love to do this by adding my favorite pumpkin scented candle to my bedroom tray. This really helps add the final element to get me into the fall mood! For more tips and tricks on home decor with a boho vibe - check me out on Instagram at @megancrawshaw !
