Carissa from Bless This Nest Blog is on our blog this week to show us her farmhouse Christmas table. We can't get over how wonderful it turned out!
Anyone else love entertaining around the holidays?? It’s one of my favorite things to do, so that’s why having the perfect table setting is so important to me. I teamed up with Old Time Pottery to find all the pieces to make a gorgeous table setting, and I can’t wait to share with you how it turned out! I even made a DIY garland from their amazing selection of greenery, so let’s get to it! This table scape might just be my favorite one I’ve ever done.
Christmas Table Setting
So, let’s begin with the place setting. I knew I wanted patterned placemats, so when I found my absolute favorite black and white buffalo check pattern, I knew that one was it! I paired them with some pretty black plates to dress up the space a bit. I typically use white plates, but I thought black would be a pretty change for Christmas. It’s safe to say that I am now obsessed with black plates!!! The last touch was to add some white cloth napkins, glasses, and greenery to finish off my Christmas table setting.
DIY Christmas Garland
So, now it’s time for my favorite part….the GARLAND!! Can you guys believe I made my table garland from stems that I found at Old Time Pottery? I know, I couldn’t believe their selection either! I started off with a basic Christmas garland as a base and added a variety of stems and sprays that I loved. I continued to layer it until it was exactly how I wanted it. My favorite spray that I found had a collection of pine, eucalyptus, and pinecones. You can see it HERE in a DIY wreath that I made for my entryway and kitchen window.I just love how the garland is cascading off the table for a more dramatic effect.
