Joanna from Hostess Jo Blog is on our blog today to show how she created a beautiful outdoor oasis on a budget.
It's springtime and with that comes new life and beauty to our surroundings! I love when the new leaves are bright green. The sky is blue and the birds return with their beautiful songs.
Thanks to Old Time Pottery, I was able to give our back patio a peaceful refresh with these spring images in mind.
It's still a little too early in the season for flowers here, so I went with pretty green plants instead. They brought so much life to the space!
Old Time Pottery has the best selection of planters and pots! I fell in love with the face pot and these two that came with the stands!
This basket is also from there!
To soften up the brick and concrete, I added this blue stripe jute rug. It really cozied up the space. Old Time Pottery has a huge selection of indoor and outdoor rugs.
Blue is so calming and peaceful, I knew I wanted to incorporate it here. I found these beautiful blue pillows that tie in the rug perfectly.
I loved how everything looked but something was missing on the mantle. This faux greenery was a great addition. It gave even more color to the fireplace.
Old Time Pottery has the prettiest faux flowers and greenery! I love mixing real greenery with faux.
-Decorating Tip-
When I am decorating a space for a change of seasons, I always strip it down to the bare bones. Then I step back and look and come back and layer in different items. Even if you are putting back some things that were already there, start with a blank slate. Sometimes just rearranging will do the trick!
So our patio went from bland and cold...
To serene and green for Spring!
.
I hope your Spring is off to a great start! Maybe this will give you some ideas for freshening up your outdoor spaces this season!
Thank you so much to Old Time Pottery for providing the awesome outdoor decor you see here!
XOXO,
Jo
