It seemed like spring was surely on the way last week. Now we are expecting snow flurries Saturday morning! That's Alabama weather for ya! I (@southernsurroundings) went ahead and spruced up our back patio a bit for warmer days. Luckily I can bring the few plants I purchased inside.
My favorite place to go for patio decor is Old Time Pottery! I just loved the style of this seasons pots and planters.
I think this geometric, peach one is my favorite! I went with neutral colors but varying shapes so that the plants and flowers would stand out. These are heavy, sturdy pots also.
I love the warmth this wood and wicker planter added to the space! I chose shade plants because our patio is covered. If you have a covered porch, shamrocks are great. Last year they lasted from March until August here. Ferns also do well in the shaded spots. I really liked the different colors on these other two plants. They add some warmer tones.
This grey rug also allows for using any color accents you want. I just love the style. It really cozied up the area. Old Time Pottery also has a big selection of lanterns. This black wicker one is great for an outside space. Add a faux candle with a timer and you have instant candlelight at night.
I wanted to add in a pop of color and these coral pillows do just that. The garland on the mantle is also from Old Time Pottery. It has a tropical feel with ferns and flowers. The flowers also pick up the coral color of the pillows.
