Summer is for lemons!
Summer is the perfect time for showers and engagements. This calls for beautiful details, floral and setting the table to look perfect for friendships, cheering and amazing memories to be made! Lately, I’ve been obsessed with everything lemons! Not only do I love food, and drinks that are “lemony” but I fell in love with these dinner plates found at Old Time Pottery for my friend's shower I was styling for! How cute are they?
Peony Tip!
I placed fresh flowers on the table, white peonies to be exact! To make sure your peonies open up pretty, the morning of your event or evening prior, place the bundle of peonies in water and put them in a warmer room, like an outdoor porch area that is shaded. The warmth will open and force the petals to bloom so they’re big and beautiful for your event!
What to serve for a light brunch
Fingers foods, appetizers that aren’t confusing to eat are ideal for any sort of brunch! Think small bites, quiches, mini chicken n’ waffles, pastries, coffee cakes, donuts, and easy to DIY kabobs with fruit or veggies!
Stay hydrated with fruity drinks
Drink dispensers are a great way to give your guests variety to drink, I added peaches, raspberries, lemons for my pink lemonade and sparkling water! What fun mixes will you make? You can also create a mimosa bar, adding champagne and different toppings to add to each individual's glass! Spread out your stations at different spots in your home or outdoor space to keep the flow of your event unique and fun. That way, each corner guests will bump into something new! Think dessert stations, drink stations, favors, etc!
