I recently had the pleasure of creating a Summer tablescape for Old Time Pottery! I knew I wanted to use our patio table with hanging lights for this one. It’s a great area to enjoy summer evenings.
I wanted to carry the lights down to the tabletop and a great way to do that is with candles. Old Time Pottery has the prettiest candle holders.
I loved these brass holders and the boho ones are just perfect.
Candles and twinkle lights aren’t just for Christmas! They really added a beautiful glow to the space.
I love the look of black and white, with green and brass touches. This table runner from Old Time Pottery was perfect!
It adds texture and softness.
Then I discovered these pretty wine glasses with black stems!
I picked up some white serving ware that you can use anytime for any occasion. White is always clean and classic.
When I think of summer I think of GREEN. Everything in nature is beautiful and green in summer. Old Time Pottery has a great selection of faux succulents in the cutest pots. I love the geometric shape of these pots.
When styling a table I try to incorporate certain elements. ..
Light, either candles or other lights.
A bit of texture to soften the table, with table runner, table cloth or cloth napkins.
Metallics to sparkle and shine, with candle holders or décor.
Glassware is another way to reflect light and create your ambiance.
Classic servingware and dishes that you can use year round.
This was really fun creating a tablescape outside for summer! I hope this gave you some ideas for your next outside gathering!
Thank you so much to Old Time Pottery for providing all of the beautiful tabletop decor found here!
XOXO,
Jo
