Kay Elle is on the blog today to show us her favorite holiday floral and a special DIY holiday floral arrangement!
It’s time to switch out your Summer and Fall florals and replace them with crimson and white hues that are perfect for the holiday season. When it comes to holiday florals, sizing can range from small accent pieces to large, colorful arrangements. No matter your preference, Old Time Pottery has a large selection for you to choose from.
Wreaths:
Old Time Pottery has many options when it comes to holiday wreaths. If you are a DIY Queen/King, you can opt for a plain green wreath and explore the silk floral area of the store. In this section, you will find both large and small floral bunches along with great accents such as cranberries and pine cones. If DIY creations are not your specialty, you can pick up a pre-decorated wreath, like I did! The ready-to-hang wreaths come in various sizes and styles. They range from classic wreaths with red florals, bows, and pinecones to more modern ones with golden ornaments and cranberries. No matter your preference, you will find one you love.
Bouquets:
As I shared, the silk floral selection at Old Time Pottery is vast! Creating your own bouquet centerpiece or arrangement for a room for the holiday season is easy to do. Once you narrow down your color scheme, you will first want to select your vessel. Whether your preference is short, tall, round or square, OTP has the perfect vase. For a base, you can use either flower foam or strategically place the stems to make a structure that will hold up your arrangement. Next, add your textured florals and blooms. Once you have completed this, add any greenery or cranberries till it meets perfection.
Centerpieces:
When it comes to centerpieces for your dining room or accent table a floral garland is a must. Having the garland by itself is an option or if you want to create a full holiday tablescape, then you would use the garland as the base and add items such as candles and pinecones to make it more elaborate. If you are wanting to create a more minimalistic centerpiece that doesn’t take long to make, place kissing balls (which are bunches of holly leaves with white fruits) inside of small vases. This centerpiece only takes a few seconds to create and can be done with varying vase sizes.
