Greta Hollar is on the blog today to show her Old Time Pottery Spring Décor favorites!
Before the pandemic, we hardly spent any time on our porch. We had a porch swing, a chair and some string lights but hardly ever sat out there. Over the past year, and being home more, we now spend a lot of warm evenings on the front porch. With the weather only getting nicer, I decided to head to Old Time Pottery to get some more pieces to go on our front porch to make it a little more comfortable.
Old Time Pottery is one of my favorite local places in Nashville. The pieces are all at a great price and they have a wide selection of home pieces. I redid my hallway, Cloffice and back patio with pieces from OTP and love all the rooms I've re-done. Today I'm sharing all I got for my front porch, my thought behind the pieces, and my color scheme. See all I got for under $150 below!
Old Time Pottery Favorites: Welcoming Spring Porch Decor Inspo
Bird Houses
Old time Pottery had the cutest bird houses that I had to have! One is a Taco Truck and the other is a Burger Bus. So far, we don't have any birds but at least their houses are so dang cute. Plus they add a little whimsy and fun to our porch décor.
Rocking Chair
I've wanted a rocking chair for as long as I can remember. I had an existing chair already on one side of the porch and just added this rocking chair to the other. OTP had this chair in the white and natural wood, I painted it black to match the rest of the furniture. Then all you need is a cushion and low back pillow. This is where I sit and drink my coffee most mornings.
Pillows and Cushions
Nothing makes a chair more comfortable than some pillows and cushions! I found comfy cushions for the rocker and porch swing in bright colors to break up the black furniture. Then got some pillows with patterns on them because I'm obsessed with a good pattern. These patterns tie in all the colors that I used on the front porch.
Side Tables & Citronella Candles
These side tables were $25 apiece and so worth it. Before we didn't have a place to put plates and glasses and would have to juggle them on our laps so the dogs wouldn't get to them. These have a fun pattern on the sides while still being open and vibing with the space. I also found these citronella candles that were $5 apiece! Now we can keep the bugs away and the yellow matches the cushion and pillows.
Dress Up the Front Door
We've needed a new doormat for a while and loved this one with the Adele quote. It was only $15 and I dressed it up with some fake potted flowers and a gnome. In the future, I want some taller fake plants and will add the potted flowers to the side tables.
