It’s almost time for two of the most memorable meals of the year! The dining table is the hub of holiday festivities. Mealtime with your loved ones is where some of the best memories are made. Focus on the decorative, festive touches to your table now, and the memories will come later. At Old Time Pottery, we believe something so delicious deserves to be pretty, too. Let’s make the most of this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. After all, the 2018 holidays will only happen one time. If you are looking for inspiration for your table, decorative centerpieces and tablescapes, you’ve come to the right place. From runners and florals, to glassware and cooking utensils, we can guarantee that OTP has it for every style. And, it’s all affordable.
Thankful for Pretty Table Settings
We can almost smell the turkey already. I focused on warm colors that created a cozy feeling when everyone gathered around the table for the meal! You can’t go wrong with gold accent plates and eye-catching chargers. I warmed up the feel with burnt orange plates (that were less than $5 each!) and green cloth napkins with pearl cloth rings under $2. The best part? OTP has tons of options for flatware under $4 each, so I snagged new matching sets. Old Time Pottery had dozens of tablecloths and runners to choose from. I went with a classic eggshell, and brightened up the table top with a flannel runner to bring out the fall tones in the plates. Fall florals are everything, so combine a transitional item as the centerpiece and use one of OTP’s pre-made arrangements as the main centerpiece for the table! Additional garland pieces or flowers look great too, the options are endless. The details in their seasonal dishes are fantastic. The turkey platter was less than $20, and the gravy boat was less than $8. Doesn’t break the bank, but it makes serving the meal we spent hours making just that much more special. Okay, and who doesn’t love the vintage glass trend right now? I love that it adds a different texture to the whole ensemble, and something about the pattern just feels so southern and classic. These won’t just be used for the holiday season!
Merry and Bright Dining Table
Time to turn on the Christmas music and decorate the tree, because Christmas is right around the corner! There is something truly magical about Christmas, and I really wanted to channel that feeling around the dining room table for my family to enjoy. Some of my favorite Christmas colors are the red and white contrast, so I went with classic white plates and red and white beaded cloth rings that were only $2 each. The other look was with plaid napkins, because honestly, you can never have too much plaid right now. I am obsessed with the centerpiece I snagged at Old Time Pottery. It is the perfect farmhouse feel, and looks like a natural, cozy item for the season with the textured wood look and pinecone/cotton combination, with the perfect amount of greenery. Another one I put together myself included OTP’s shatterproof vintage ornaments and pinecones in a glass vase. Combined with any kind of garland, and the ensemble looks complete and cozy. And of course, tea lights! At the end of the day, I know you will style your dining room table with the perfect holiday touches for your family and friends. We hope you make lasting memories over delicious food this season. Remember to save some room for dessert! Show us how you styled your dining room tablescape with the hashtag #OTPStyle!
